Fly Your Colors

‘Fly Your Colors’ (Paul Black, R. 2008).  TB, 36″ (91 cm), Late midseason bloom. Standards metallic slate-purple base blending upward to bronze tan; edges slate grey; style arms brassy gold, crests veined plum purple; falls brassy gold richly overlaid dark claret at hafts and rouged spot extending ¾ of the way outward, fine network of white veins over hafts, circular blue violet flash at end of bright orange beards, brassy gold reverse; ruffled, lightly laced, metallic finish; slight spicy fragrance.  Mid-America 2008. Honorable Mention 2012.
